Dogwood Elementary School Principal Darlene Herrera has been recognized as the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Region 18 Administrator of the Year, a prestigious honor awarded to exceptional school leaders who demonstrate dedication, innovation, and a profound impact on their educational communities.
Under Herrera’s leadership, Dogwood Elementary has thrived, earning national recognition as a Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase School—a distinction highlighting the school’s commitment to inclusivity, student engagement, and academic excellence.
