The Imperial County Registrar of Voters has released the Official Final Results of the 2024 Presidential General Election. The results, certified after thorough canvassing, reflect 100% precinct reporting in all races across the county.

The Imperial County Board of Supervisors is set to review and formally accept the Certification of the Results of the Canvass during an upcoming regular meeting. The Registrar expressed gratitude to the public for their patience and support throughout the election process. The official results report is available online at elections.imperialcounty.org.

For the first time in over three decades, Imperial County has flipped to the Republican side in a historic election, marking a major political shift in the traditionally Democratic stronghold. Donald Trump became the first GOP presidential candidate to win the county since George H. W. Bush in 1988, while Republican U.S. Senate candidate Steve Garvey also claimed a local victory.

Adding to the Republican momentum, Jeff Gonzales was elected to the State Assembly, becoming the first Republican to represent the region since Bonnie Garcia, signaling a significant change in the political dynamics of the Imperial Valley.
