A Salton City man was arrested Friday in connection with the murder of T’Neya Tovar, authorities said. The Imperial County Sheriff’s Office, working with its Emergency Response Team and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, served a search warrant at a residence on the 2800 block of Harlequin Court at approximately 7:30 a.m.

According to law enforcement, 51-year-old Abraham Feinbloom was seen jumping a fence at the residence in what appeared to be an attempt to avoid officers. He was immediately taken into custody by the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team and later questioned by FBI agents while deputies processed the home for evidence.

Feinbloom was subsequently booked into the Imperial County Jail on charges of murder under California Penal Code 187(a) and resisting a peace officer under Penal Code 148(a)(1). He is being held without bail.

The arrest follows a multi-agency investigation involving the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office, the FBI, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, and the Imperial County District Attorney’s Office. Authorities said the coordinated effort led to the apprehension of Feinbloom and emphasized the ongoing nature of the investigation.

The Imperial County Sheriff’s Office extended condolences to T’Neya Tovar’s family and all those affected by the incident, describing the case as a tragic event that has impacted the local community.

Officials are asking anyone with additional information related to the investigation to contact Investigator Moreno at the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office at (442) 265-2265. Authorities said tips from the public remain crucial to completing the investigation and ensuring all aspects of the case are thoroughly examined.
